Doctor Bios

Dr. Schneider | Dr. Rosen | Dr. Bush

Dr. Schneider:

Steven Schneider, M.D. received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is Board certified in Internal Medicine. He has been in private practice since 1981. As a specialist in travel and corporate medicine, Dr. Schneider serves as medical consultant to several international airlines and currently serves as Medical Director of a Fortune 10 company. He is a member of the attending staff at Lenox Hill Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan. In addition, Dr. Schneider has served as an on-call physician to many of New York City's finest hotels for the past 20 years. He was listed as being one of the "Best Doctors" in the Metro New York area by the Castle Connolly Guide.

Dr. Rosen:

Nedra Rosen, MD is a general internist, board-certified in Internal Medicine who received her medical degree from New York Medical College in 1980. She was selected for membership into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, and graduated in the top 10 % of her class. She also received the American Medical Women’s Association award for scholastic achievement.

Her post-doctoral training included an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital. She has also held various positions there, including Chief of the Medical Residents Follow-up Clinic for 10 years, member of the Outpatient Department Committee and Teaching Attending involved in the teaching and supervision of residents and students. She continues to maintain an active affiliation with Lenox Hill Hospital and is an Associate Physician in the Department of Medicine.

Dr. Rosen has been in the private practice of medicine since 1984. She is on the faculty of SUNY Downstate Medical College and New York University School of Medicine, and for the past 15 years, has devoted a portion of each year to teaching third-year medical students, a role she very much enjoys.

While still in medical school, Dr. Rosen was honored by admission into the “Cor et Manus (Heart and Hand) Society. She continues to combine the art and science of medicine by providing excellent, skilled medical care with a caring and compassionate attitude towards her patients.

Dr. Bush:

Dr. Bush graduated from Clark University with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He went on to medical school at SUNY Downstate where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1978. He did both his medical internship and his medical residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. In 1981 he was selected to be the Chief Medical Resident, and he received the Upjohn Achievement award in 1981/1982 as the most outstanding resident.

Dr. Bush has been in private medical practice since 1982. He has maintained current with changes in the medical field by earning nearly double the required number of Continuing Medical Education credits each renewal period.

He has been elected twice to represent his peers on the Medical Board of Lenox Hill Hospital. He has also been elected to the Board of Directors of the Lenox Hill Physician Hospital Association and was elected to be Chairman of the Board of Directors.

He has maintained an active academic presence in the hospital community. Since entering private Practice, he has been the Assistant Chief of Medicine for Ambulatory and Consultative Medicine, Morning Report Attending, Attending in Charge of Residents Journal Club, and a voluntary teaching attending on the medical floors and the Intensive Care Unit. He has been on the faculty at Cornell Medical College and New York Medical College. Currently he holds a position of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at both New York University School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate for his work in teaching third year Medical Students. He has been selected as a "Top Doctor" by the Castle Connolly Guide.

Dr. Bush is also proud of his non-medical contributions to his community. He was the head coach for Little League baseball and soccer for 21 seasons.

He continues to enjoy the practice of general internal medicine and is particularly interested in preventive medical care.

He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.
